- Free/Open Source Version: All voice processing and transcription occur locally on your device. Your audio data never leaves your hardware and is not accessible to OpenVoiceControl or third parties.
- Pro/Cloud Versions: Your voice data is securely transmitted to our cloud servers solely for real-time transcription processing. Audio data is never stored or retained after transcription processing completes.
3. How Information is Collected
- Automatically via software usage logs and local analytics
- Voluntarily through user account registration, support interactions, and direct feedback
- Voice data handling differs by version (as stated above)
4. Purpose of Collecting Information
We collect and process information solely to:
- Deliver accurate, high-speed AI-powered dictation
- Enable voice commands and interactions with your operating system
- Continuously improve software reliability, functionality, and performance
- Provide billing, account management, and customer support

- Local Versions: No sharing of voice or personal data externally

- Compliance with legal authorities: Only as required by law or to respond to legal processes

- Cloud Versions: Audio data processed in real-time and immediately deleted post-transcription
11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
OpenVoiceControl does not use cookies or extensive tracking technologies within our desktop applications. Minimal analytics may be collected anonymously to enhance software performance.
12. Children's Privacy
OpenVoiceControl is intended for professional adult users (18 years and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will promptly delete it.
